Factor I: Labour market success

0 / 80

Your highest completed credential, at its Canadian equivalency.

0of 23

Skilled work related to the job on your application, counted in two windows that add together. One year means 12 full months.

Additional points

The grid prints 5, 4, 3 and 2 years, then 'less than 1 year' at 0, and no row for exactly one year. One year in this window therefore has no published value; it is grouped with the 0 row rather than given a number Saskatchewan did not print.

0of 15

First official-language test, English or French. Scored here on the lowest of the four abilities.

Additional points

A test in the other official language - French if your first was English, and the reverse. Worth up to 10 on its own ladder.

0of 30

Your age when you apply.

Factor II: Connection to Saskatchewan

0 / 30

A Saskatchewan job offer, or family, work or study ties to the province. Which one counts depends on your subcategory.

Questions people ask

Is there a minimum SINP score?

Saskatchewan requires at least 60 of 110 points to apply. 60 is the floor to apply, not a score that wins a draw. Draws invite the highest-ranked candidates in the pool, and Saskatchewan has no draws scheduled.

What is the maximum SINP score?

110 points across 5 factors. Saskatchewan states that total itself.

Does a SINP nomination guarantee permanent residence?

No. Saskatchewan scores you and issues the nomination; only IRCC can grant permanent residence. A nomination adds 600 points to your Express Entry CRS score only if you also qualify for a federal Express Entry program, which requires skilled (TEER 0–3) work, and take the nomination through Express Entry.

If my SINP score is high, am I eligible?

Not necessarily. Scoring and eligibility are separate tests, and this calculator models only the score. Saskatchewan sets minimum requirements of its own that you must meet before your score counts at all. Check them on the official page linked below, or with a licensed RCIC.

Two governments own two halves of this. The province scores you and nominates; only IRCC can grant permanent residence. Nothing on this site is official — where it disagrees with the pages below, they are right and this is wrong.
